Bossard began her professional career in the field of commercial fish worker in the year 1999. She began to work at the vessel F/V Sunset an a65' halibut-schooner and was later converted into a salmon tender in the name of Murat Aritan who worked as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard is married to Aritan. The couple has joined forces and are claiming their respective fields. Both of them are in favour of conserving resources as well as optimizing profit.
